Nano Electronic Materials and Devices Laboratory

Currently the development of nanostructured metal oxide semiconductors and correlations of their multi-functional properties are globally a frontline research area for the realization of cost effective and environ friendly technologies for photo-detection, gas sensing, energy harvesting and storage, non-volatile data storage and electronic synapse. Besides commercial applications, the metal oxide semiconductor-based devices have potential applications in ’hot’ areas with nuclear radiation and harsh environments. At Nano Electronic Materials and Devices Laboratory (NEMDL) of PMTS, we have strong research activity on the growth of epitaxial thin films, nanostructures, multilayers and quantum structures of technologically important oxide semiconductors and dielectrics using contemporary features of Pulsed Laser Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition and RF Magnetron Sputtering techniques and device fabrication using planer and crossbar interdigital metal electrodes and their characterizations
