Incubation Centre – RRCAT and Indian Institute of Technology Indore organizes One Day Online Workshop on Creating Lab-to-Land Ecosystem: Challenges & Opportunities August 14, 2021, Saturday Time: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Today, the world is being driven by rapidly evolving technologies and intellectual property. Hence, there is an increased demand of transformation of R&D from Lab-to-Land, which is basically research adopted by the Industry, startups, new products, etc. This Lab-to-Land transformation is only possible through an ecosystem, where the challenges are overcome and the opportunities created through R&D are successfully adapted by the stakeholders into the new technology towards higher value addition, lower costs, better products, and resolving existing usage problems. Recently, there is a direct emphasis to transform lab technologies into socially useful technologies/ products under Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiatives of Government of India. In this context, a one-day workshop on “Creating Lab-to-Land Ecosystem: Challenges & Opportunities” is being organized on August 14, 2021, Saturday jointly by Incubation Centre-RRCAT and IIT Indore.

The objective of the workshop is:

• Understand the Lab-to-Land ecosystem and its requirements for transformation of socially useful technologies/ products.
• Challenges in developing market-driven technologies and their resolutions.
• Opportunities for technocrats and entrepreneurs to participate in Lab-to-Land ecosystem.

The workshop will have invited talks by the leading experts to motivate the researcher/ faculty members/ students to identify the market demand and align their efforts for delivering socially useful technologies. It will be a unique opportunity for researcher/ technology developers and potential entrepreneurs to learn from the experiences of established experts towards a quick adoption of Lab-to-Land transformation strategy. It is expected that the participants will get exposure to various aspects of technology transformation, including - Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), Technology Transfer/ incubation, Market driven technology development strategies, patent and intellectual properties issues with case studies.
