• Remote Access Services (RemoteXs)
  RemoteXs is a gateway to access online resources subscribed by Scientific Information Resource Centre (SIRC), RRCAT from outside RRCATNet. RemoteXs provides library patrons a single window access to online resources from outside RRCATNet on web-browser enabled device having Internet access. RemoteXs also allows to analyze and optimize usage of available e-Resources and nurture research interests of scientists, engineers, faculties, research scholars and students.
  
  
• Online Book Recommendation
  Users of SIRC recommend book which is not available in SIRC using Online Book Selection System (OBSS). OBSS is a workflow based software which includes book request by employee, forwarding request by his/her Head of division(HOD)/ Independent section(IS), opting opinion of subject experts, review by members of book selection cell and final approval by Chairman, Library Committee.
  
  
• Digital Inter Library Loan (DILL) Photocopy Request
  This service is available through online photocopy request form over RRCAT intranet using employee id and password. We send document request to different DAE units, IIT & other libraries. Documents which are not available at SIRC are be obtained from these institutions in digital form on Inter-Library Loan.
  
  
• Online Public Access Catalogue
  SIRC of RRCAT has Web based Online Public Access Catalogue (Web OPAC) for searching books, journal holdings and other print resources.
  
  
• Digital Photo Archiving System
  SIRC has digitised the photographs taken during Visits, Occasion & Laboratory Equipments. SIRC manages these events photos and made available to users for viewing & searching these photo-albums online.
  
  
• Citation Analysis
  Citation analysis is carried using Web-Of-Science.
  
  
• Translation service
  SIRC of RRCAT provides translation service to its users through outside agencies such as NISCAIR & IASLIC.
  
  
• Reprographic (Photocopy/Scan/Print) Service
  SIRC has three digital photocopy machine and one overhead scanner for photocopying & scanning.
  
  
• User Orientation
  The orientation program offers new employees, trainees & students an introduction to the resources and services at SIRC.
  
  
• Reference Help Desk
  The Reference Help Desk is staffed with trained information professionals to help users fulfilling their information needs. They assist the users to locate the documents in SIRC & retrieving the required information resources from web-OPAC & other bibliographic & citation databases.
  
  
• Educational Video Collection
  SIRC has collected some audio video web courses on various topics from various resources like NPTIL etc.
  
  
• News Paper Clippings
  SIRC scans news related to DAE and RRCAT. Digital collections of news are updated regularly. SIRC users can access news paper clippings online. 13. RFID Based Web Centric Library Manage

  Libsys7 is deployed. This system is effectively used for self issue/return of books by users, stock verification using Wi-Fi inventory reader & theft control by electronic security gate. This system is managing online book reservation facility & e-mail Intimation for reserved/ issued/ returned books services.
  
  
• Institutional Digital Repository
  Digital collections of e-Internal Reports, e-Jouranl Articles, e-Conference Papers, e-Thesis, e-Project Reports, e-Newspaper Clippings, digital photographs, digital videos and educational audio visual course wares are accessible through institutional digital repository of SIRC.
  
  
• Online Conference Announcements
  SIRC displays National and International conference announcements and all related informations.
  
  
• Network Version of Indian Standards
  Access to web-based network version of full-text Indian Standards (Electrotechnical, Civil and Mechanical divisions) are made available to the users on RRCATNet.
  
  
• Multi-user Digital Books & Standards
  Digital copis of the reference books such Food Quality and Standard Vol 1,2 & 3 and standards are accessible to the users on RRCATNet
  
  
• Newspaper Inventory & Issue/Return System
  SIRC subscribes five Hindi & six English daily newpapers. A system has been developed & deployed to maintain account of receipt of newspapers and manage issue & return of newspapers to users of SIRC.
  
  
• Current Awareness Service
  SIRC disseminates information about newly arrived books, journals, internal reports, theses, project report etc. which are put on display for the users of SIRC.
  
  
• Internal Report Submission Guide
  SIRC provides internal report number to the scientists & engineers who want to publish their research work as internal report. SIRC provides submission guidelines & publishes the internal research reports in standard format as per the submision guidelines.

  Full-text database for journal article, conference papers, theses, project reports & book chapters are accessible to users online with search, retrive & view facilities.
