Catalyst for Hydrogen Recombiner for CECE based heavy Water decontamination
This application demands a non-carbon supported Hydrogen recombiner catalyst.
Hydrogen recombiner catalyst is used for recombination of part flow H2 gas generated from the electrolyzer in CECE process. The presence of ~ 2 % hydrogen in oxygen rich stream demands non-carbon support catalyst with high thermal conductivity and hydrophobicity. For this activity development of Pt/Pd nanoparticle-based catalyst on alumina support are being explored. The developed catalyst can be used as substitute for imported Sigma Aldrich Catalyst. Additionally, carbon supported catalyst will be taken up for hydrogen removal from plant area.
