High stability,-30kV HV Systems for Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM),BARC-Mumbai


A -30 kV/300 µA high stability(15 ppm), ultra low ripple(10 ppm) high voltage (HV) dc power supply and a filament power supply (8V/4A) with a variable bias resistor floating at -30kV is designed & developed for the scanning electron microscope (SEM). The HV power supply has been tested with developed HV connector and HV stability and output voltage ripple with noise(p-p) was in the range of 15 & 10 ppm respectively.

b) The HV supply unit successfully installed and integrated with SEM unit at BARC.
