R. F. Control System (RFCS)

The RF control system controls and monitors 6 RF cavities installed in Indus-2 ring. It interacts with local RF control to provide reference for cavity gap voltage, its phase, resonant frequency tuning plunger position control etc. The system also monitors read back signals for various parameters like RF power, cavity temperature, cavity gap voltage and phase etc. RF cavity gap voltages are also ramped synchronously with Magnet Power Supply currents. Indus-2 RFCS has two Equipment Control Units (L-3 stations) connected to one Supervisory Control (L-2 station).

The main panel shows the all status signals of six RF stations at a glance.

Following panel shows all types of RF power amplifiers status, read back and set values. The RF system employs six elliptical cavities, four are powered by solid state power amplifiers (station 2, 3, 5, & 6), one by Klystron power amplifier (station 4) and one by IOT based power amplifier (station 1).
