- Using Windows Server Fail-over Cluster(WSFC) APIs to perform fail-overs
- Shared storage is not required
- Providing a combination of Synchronous and Asynchronous data flow
- Allowing backups & performing DBCC statements to be undertaken on a secondary replica.
- Decoupling of SCADA from DB insert functions. (performance and reliability reasons)
