PhD activities under the Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai at RRCAT
The FUS is also involved in the academic activities of the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai. A number of external candidates as well as staff members of FUL&US have completed their PhD and M. Tech from HBNI.

Dr Shyam Sundar completed two years of post-doctoral research at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and then completed two years of Research Associateship at the Simon Fraser University, Canada. Presently he is a Research Fellow in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics at the University Of St. Andrews, Scotland.
Dr Md. Matin is presently Assistant Professor of Physics, Dinhata College, Dinhata 736135, West Bengal, India.
