At Laser Biomedical Applications and Instrumentation Division (LBAID), RRCAT, R&D on use of lasers for biomedical imaging, diagnosis, manipulation of microscopic objects (single cell or sub-cellular objects) and photodynamic treatment is being pursued. The division is also engaged in developing laser-based instrumentation for supporting these activities and meeting other requirements of the Department of Atomic Energy.
