The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading technical professional society of its kind. Established in 1953, the IETE now has more than 40,000 members spread all over India and abroad. The objective of IETE is to focus on advancement of science and technology in the fields of Electronics, Telecommunications, Computers and other related areas. Towards this end, the IETE conducts and sponsors seminars, conferences, symposia, exhibitions, etc, all over the country. IETE also facilitates its student members to acquire engineering degree/diploma qualifications through its well established and recognized examination system.
Objective of the Seminar:
A rapid growth in the fields of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers has resulted in extensive dependence on software. IETE Mhow Sub-Centre plans to organize a Zonal Seminar to address the challenges and opportunities being presented in these areas to Software Professionals. This will be the first event of its kind in the Malwa Region of Madhya Pradesh. The main focus areas of this Seminar are as under :-

The focus areas listed are merely a guideline. Any contributions that reflect new dimensions and growth of Software in the fields of Electronics, Telecommunications and Networking are welcome.
Instructions for Preparing Abstract/ Manuscripts
Extended abstract of not more than 1000 words must be submitted in triplicate by 25 Mar 98. Final manuscripts must be laser printed on A4 size paper in single spacing using 12-point Times-Roman font. The title, followed by name and affiliation in the next line, should be centered 2.5 cm from the top in capital letters. All margins should be 2.5 cm. Manuscripts of length not more than five pages are required to be submitted in duplicate by 11 Apr 98.
Souvenir
It is proposed to bring out a souvenir containing abstracts of papers, messages and publicity material. Vendors may release advertisements on the attached form latest by 11 Mar 98.
