The Physics of Beams is the theoretical and experimental study of particle and photon beams, particularly their interaction with matter, with radiation, and with each other. It encompasses a wide range of fields including electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, nonlinear dynamics and solid state electronics. This school will give introduction to some of the more important and interesting areas.

Participation is restricted to 30 participants, for whom AC/III tier fare (by the shortest route) and local expenses will be paid. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Physics, and be below 26 yeras of age. Applications should include date of birth, biodata and at least one letter of recommendation , and can be sent by post, fax or e.mail.
