ILA  Courses  during  NLS-2003

 

In  conjunction  with  the  National  Laser  Symposium, 2003, which  is  being  held at IIT, Kharagpur, from 22nd to 24th December, 2003, Indian  Laser  Association will conduct  the  following courses, which will be held  at the Symposium venue on 21st December, 2003.

 

  1. “ Nanotechnology  for  Photonics”

The Course is devised by the faculty Members of the Dept. of Physics and Chemistry of IIT, Kharagpur.

The Speakers are , Dr. P.K.Datta, Dr. Anushree Roy, Dr. S.K.Ray, Dr.A.Dhar & Dr. A.K.Pramanik.

     The Course will be a full day course of 7 Hours  duration.

It will start at 9:15 Hours and will continue till 17:30 Hrs., with one hour Lunch break.

 

  1. “ Lasers in Optical Engineering” 

The  course is devised by faculty members of the Dept. of Applied Physics of The University of Calcutta.

The speakers are Prof. L.N.Hazra, Dr. K.Bhattacharya, Dr. A.Ghosh, Dr.S.K.Sarkar and Prof. A.K.Chakraborthy.

The Course will be a full day course of 7 Hours  duration.

It will start at 9:15 Hours and will continue till 17:30 Hrs., with one hour Lunch break.

 

Course  Fee and Schedule :

Fee for Course No.1 & 2, (inclusive of Lunch):

For  students and  all  ILA  Members                   :  Rs 200/-

All others                                                              :  Rs 400/-

Each  course will consist  of  seven  Lectures. Both  the Courses will run parallel. For details  see Annexure below.

 

 Financial  Assistance :

 The organizing  Committee of NLS , provides TA/DA assistance  to  deserving  students. If such students will also like to attend the Courses they should apply to the Secretary, NLS-2003, for additional local hospitality for one more day.

 

 Registration for  the ILA  Courses  and  Lodging  and Boarding:

 To  register  for the ILA  Courses , send  by e-mail  or  post an  application in the enclosed  format to  Co-Secretary, NLS-2003.

Kindly also send a copy to ILA Gen.Sec.II.

The Application along  with  Bank  Draft  or  a  Cheque for  the Course must  reach  the  Co-Secretary  before 1st December, 2003.

The DD or  Cheque should  be  payable at Indore  in  favor of “Indian Laser Association, Indore”.

For  outstation cheques, add Rs55/- as bank charges.

In the event of cancellation of a course, due  to  some  unavoidable  circumstances, the Fee will be sent  back  to  the applicant.

For  lodging  and  boarding arrangements, please contact the Co-Secretary , on or before 5th December, 2003.
